Summer Vacation Part 1

Pete took a week off and we headed to Utah.  The first part of our trip was spent with Pete's side of the family.  We hit all our favorite places...food places that is-Pace's Dairy Ann, Nielson's Frozen Custard, Cutler's...my mouth is watering just remembering it all.  The kids had a blast with their cousins and it was tough saying goodbye.

Waiting for lunch and frozen custard

We took a trip to temple square and luckily this time no one ended up in the reflection pool

Although this looks like a big group we are actually missing over half of the cousins!

A trip to Bountiful wouldn't be complete without a campfire in the canyon

We attempted to take a family picture in the creek...
...but the water was a little bit colder than everyone was anticipating!

4 out of 5 isn't bad

July

Summer came and went in the blink of an eye.  Here's what kept us busy in July:

The first week of summer was spent at Scout Camp.
Not only did #1 have a blast, but this year #2 and #3 were able to tag along in "Sibling Camp".

We moved into our house 4th of July weekend.
We had lots of help but it still took most of the month getting unpacked and settled.

Happy Independence Day!

We had breakfast and a small program at the church and then joined in the community parade

Later that "night" the kids did some poppers.
Not too exciting if you ask me but they seemed happy.

Due to illness we celebrated #4's birthday a week late.
It's OK though.  She didn't know the difference.

#2 lost her two front teeth days apart

#4 cracked us up with her new expressions

We hit the beach.  I think the board is bigger than #2.
#4 had her first taste of sand and salt water.

7 years old...going on 17!

#2 opted to have a nail and yogurt party with a few friends.
It was fun and zero work for me.

Rocky beaches are uncomfortable....or are they?

Too many naps took place here

The kids spent a week brushing up their language skills at French camp.
Parlez-vous?
