Spring Break Part 3

Pebble Beach and Carmel

We finished off our trip visiting Carmel.  It ended up being too cold to play on the beach, but the kids had a good time anyway and we only had a few rain drops.  We decided to do the 17 mile drive through Pebble Beach on our way to Carmel.  It was really beautiful although I'm positive that it was lost on our children who couldn't figure out why we would ever want to take the long way.

With 6 of us, it is really difficult to get 6 smiles

Finally getting a smile out of #3

We learned from our previous travels that it is always best to find a hotel with a pool.
I obviously wasn't planning on #4 getting in the pool.
She however, had plans of her own.

Our great trip ended on somewhat of a sour note.  About 30 minute away from home, the car in front of us swerved and something came flying towards us.  Luckily, Pete managed to dodge most of it but it ended up slashing our back tire.  Unfortunately it was right at a point where the freeway splits so there was no real emergency lane to pull into.  Changing a flat on a busy freeway is no easy task but Pete saved the day and in about 10 minutes we were back on the road.
